Quick guide

What sports event toilet hire covers

Sports event toilet hire provides temporary facilities for matches, tournaments, race days, and outdoor sporting fixtures lasting from a single afternoon to a full week. PremierPlus specialise in sports event toilet hire across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and London for football and rugby matches, cricket festivals, athletics meets, cycling sportives, marathons, motorsport, equestrian trials, and school and club sports days.

As a planning rule of thumb, allow one portable toilet per 100 spectators over a 6 to 8 hour event, adding 20 percent extra if alcohol is served. Sports crowds skew male and surge at half-time or between races, so a single Pee Pod II urinal, covering around 200 to 300 men per session, is the biggest queue-management lever you have.

Multi-day tournaments benefit from scheduled daily servicing to keep units clean and stocked throughout. Stewards, marshals, and event crew working long fixtures are best served by a self-contained welfare unit. Tell us your expected attendance, dates, and venue for a quote.

Unit options

Choose the right units for your sports event

Match-day crowds arrive together and leave together. Mix and match the four units below to handle peak surges, keep queues short, and stay compliant with inclusive event rules.

Standard portable toilets

Self-contained units with hand sanitiser. The spectator workhorse. Scheduled servicing included on multi-day hires.

  • No mains water or power needed
  • Compact footprint, easy positioning
  • Around 1 unit per 100 spectators
  • Add 20% if alcohol is served

Pee Pod II urinals

Queue saver

Free-standing four-bay urinals. The biggest queue-management lever at a sports event, and they keep the main portable toilets cleaner all day.

  • Four user bays per unit
  • One unit covers 200-300 men per session
  • Ideal for half-time and between-race surges
  • Serviced in situ without downtime

Welfare units

Self-contained units with toilets, hand washing, a seating area, and a kitchen space for stewards, marshals, and event crew on long fixtures.

  • Toilet, sink, seating and kitchen area
  • Keeps staff facilities separate from crowd
  • Ideal for marshals and volunteers
  • Mains or generator powered

Accessible units

Wheelchair-accessible units with wide doors, grab rails, and ramp entry. Required under the Equality Act 2010 for inclusive sports events.

  • Wide-access doors
  • Grab rails and ramp entry
  • Equality Act 2010 compliant
  • Position near accessible viewing
Hosting a hospitality or VIP enclosure? Our luxury toilet trailers add flushing toilets, hot water, and vanity areas. Standalone hand wash stations also available for catering zones.

Cycling Sportives & Marathons

Start and finish lines, feed stations, and route marshalling points for sportives, marathons, and endurance events with staggered arrivals across the day.

Motorsport & Race Days

Trackside and paddock positioning for motorsport meetings, point-to-points, and race days. Capacity that handles between-race spectator surges.

Equestrian & Country Sports

Horse trials, polo, point-to-points, clay shoots, and country sports across the South East. Field positioning for spectators, paddocks, and competitor zones.

School & Club Sports Days

School athletics, sports days, and club tournaments. Compact setups with accessible units and hand wash stations for parents, pupils, and competitors.

Running a festival alongside the sport? See our festival toilet hire page, or our event toilet hire page for smaller fixtures and private matches.

Peak planning

Sports event toilet hire built for the crowd surge

Sports events have a demand curve unlike any other event. Instead of steady footfall, a fixed kick-off or a finish line sends the entire crowd toward the facilities within a few minutes. Getting the number and mix of units right, and positioning urinals to soak up the male peak, is what keeps queues from spilling across your site.

For multi-day tournaments and race weekends, we provide scheduled servicing - daily or twice-daily depending on expected attendance. Units are restocked, cleaned, and checked so everything stays in working order from first whistle to final result.

Planning guide

Getting the numbers right

Poor toilet provision is the number one complaint at outdoor events, and sports fixtures amplify it because the crowd moves as one. Getting the numbers right, positioning units sensibly, and keeping them clean throughout makes a real difference to how spectators experience your event.

We work with clubs, event organisers, and governing bodies of all sizes - from school sports days and club tournaments to race weekends and large spectator fixtures. We will help you calculate the right number of units based on expected attendance, event duration, and whether alcohol is being served.

We also advise on positioning. Facilities should be visible and signposted near stands and spectator areas, with urinals placed to soak up the male peak and accessible units close to accessible viewing. These are details we handle so you do not have to.

Frequently asked questions

As a general guide, plan for one toilet per 100 spectators over a 6-8 hour event. If alcohol is being served, add 20% extra capacity. Race days, sportives, and tournaments with staggered arrivals may cope with slightly fewer, while events with a fixed kick-off and a single crowd surge need more at peak. Tell us your expected attendance and we will recommend the right setup.

Yes. Our free-standing Pee Pod II urinals are the single biggest queue-management tool at a sports event, where the crowd tends to skew male and everyone heads for the facilities at half-time or between races. One four-bay unit covers around 200 to 300 men per session and keeps the main portable toilets cleaner all day. See our portable urinal hire page for details.

Yes. We supply self-contained welfare units with toilets, hand washing, a seating area, and a kitchen space for marshals, stewards, event crew, and volunteers working long match days or multi-day tournaments. See our welfare unit hire page for the full specification.

Yes. We supply fully compliant accessible portable toilets with wide-access doors, grab rails, and ramp entry. These meet BS 8300 guidance and the Equality Act 2010, and should be positioned near accessible viewing areas. See our accessible toilet hire page for full details.

Absolutely. For multi-day events such as cricket festivals, equestrian trials, and endurance races we provide scheduled servicing to keep every unit clean, stocked, and in full working order throughout. We can arrange daily or twice-daily servicing depending on expected footfall.

Our standard portable toilets are completely self-contained and need no external power. Luxury trailers for hospitality areas run on battery or generator power. If you need generator hire we can arrange this as part of your booking. No mains connection is required for any of our units.

Yes. We supply trackside and field positioning for motorsport meetings, point-to-points, horse trials, polo, clay shoots, and country sports across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, and London. We advise on positioning for spectator areas, paddocks, and competitor zones so facilities are where the crowd actually needs them.
